"Charleston's Hope" is an original poem honoring the Emanuel Nine and survivors.

 

On June 17, 2015, members gathered together for Bible study at Mother Emanuel AME Church. The welcoming and sacred evening ended in gunfire and the tragic loss of nine lives. This single act of hatred forever changed the lives of the victims’ families and the survivors. Today, the community continues to honor their legacies through an outpouring of healing, unity, love, and hope.
